“Great progress has been made this week as both flaperons met completion. Thanks go to our automotive shop friends who have given us some space up in their mezz again this year for parts storage…
The stabilator substructure is now complete with skins being clecoed in place. Once skinned there will be a full day of pulling rivets. This part has some critical areas that fit into the aft tailcone bulkhead…
Those who have worked themselves out of a job are now gainfully employed in the wing world. One crew will be constructing both main spars and the other crew will be constructing the aft and forward stub spars for both wings. We have many detail parts that will all need deburring so early on this will seem slow going but this is how we eat an elephant; one bite at a time. We anxiously look forward to seeing Tom and Bonnie Lewis come back into our fold to give us some adult supervision!”
