      • How many hands will you be playing
      • What is your home airport
      • If you are a pilot the names of all passengers that will be in your aircraft.
      • If you are a pilot, what airplane (Type and N number) you will be using
      • If you are a passenger which airplane you will be flying in.

  5. The start location is your home airport. The start time on Saturday, June 10, 2017 is no sooner than 9:30 AM but is up to you and your passengers depending on your plane, your assessment of weather conditions, etc.
  6. The entrance fee is $20 per hand (Cash only) (exact change is preferred) and is payable upon arriving at Pecan Plantation (0TX1). All hands must be presented at the last airport (0TX1) at Planeview Park, no later than 1:30 pm on Saturday, June 10, 2017. You may purchase multiple hands.
  7. This is not a race. Your time between airports does not matter. Your primary concern should be safety and the exercise of good judgement and airmanship.
  8. For each hand you play, you will get one card in a sealed envelope upon departing and arriving (if you left from another airport other than 0TX1, you will get 2 cards upon landing at 0TX1) and at each of the 3 airports. DO NOT OPEN THE ENVELOPE UNTIL LANDING AT PECAN OR YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED. Once you land back at 0TX1 you will open your envelopes and play your cards. If you are caught cheating you and all involved parties will be disqualified and no refunds will be made.
  9. Each airport selected has a restaurant near it so feel free to stop for breakfast/lunch. Just be back by 1:30.
  10. You can go to the airports in any order on Saturday, June 10, 2017 with the final airport being 0TX1
    • KSEP Stephenville
    • KGPM Grand Prairie
    • KLNC Lancaster
  11. The prize for the best poker hand will be ½ the proceeds. You need not be present at the awards ceremony which will begin at 2:00 pm at 0TX1 to win. The other half of the proceeds will benefit EAA Chapter 983.
  12. Standard 5 card draw poker rules apply.  The eligible participant with the best hand is declared the winner. NO WAGERING!
  13. Since each airport has a representation of a complete deck (Cards 1 – 52), it is possible to get 5 aces or 5 twos, etc.  In the unlikely event of exactly duplicated hands each player involved in the tie will draw a card and the highest card breaks the tie.
  14. The event will be held – weather permitting.  EAA 983 will send out an email no later than 8:00 am on Saturday, June 10, 2017 to all participants regarding the poker run, any last-minute changes, and if the poker run has been canceled.  Be expecting the email and look for it. If the event is postponed due to weather, the reschedule date will be the following Saturday, June 17, 2017.
  15. Fly heads up – eyes open – safely and have some fun.
  16. Most importantly! EAA 983 is hosting this event but assumes no liability for the safe operation of your aircraft and your flight. As PIC of your aircraft, you assume full responsibility. You should check all NOTAM’s, TFR’s, weather, and ensure that your aircraft is in airworthy condition. As a passenger, it is your responsibility to ensure that the person that you are flying with is competent to operate the aircraft. If you are unsure, do not fly with them. You must make this decision for yourself. (The lawyers made me say this!)
