EAA CHAPTER 983 MEETING – Airworthiness and Aircraft Records

March 11, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Presenter:  Mike Montifusco

“Airworthiness and Aircraft Records – What do Pilots/Owners/Renters Need to Know?”

This WINGS seminar is about practical airworthiness and aircraft records information for pilots, owners, and renters.  It’s a startling fact: Many pilots do not REALLY know whether their aircraft is airworthy.  They ASSUME from their maintenance vendor that it is so.  So, HOW would you know — and WHAT should you ask?  We’ll start with the regs and the definition of airworthiness, look at what is actually recorded in the aircraft records, and discuss how all of this may impact you FINANCIALLY and well as LEGALLY.  So what do pilots NEED to know about their aircraft records and whether or not the aircraft is actualy airworthy?  And WHY should you even care?  Come and learn some very compelling reasons and be surprised and, hopefully, enlightened.
If visiting from outside Pecan Plantation, please let the gate attendant know you are going to the regular EAA Chapter 983 monthly meeting. If possible, please call a Chapter Officer in advance, and they will be glad to help guide you in.
