DESCRIPTION:Mike Patey of Draco Bush PlaneFame\nThis month we are lucky enough to have the amazing Mike Patey with us via Zoom.  Take a look at the short video on Mike’s homepage for a great introduction to Mike and what he represents. \nAmong accomplishments too numerous to list in this small space\, Mike is a YouTube star with his own channel and hundreds of thousands of followers.  The video he posted after the unfortunate crash of his highly modified Wilga\, named “Draco” (one of the most iconic bush planes ever built) has received over a million views.  Together with his identical twin brother Mark\, they started building their own businesses as teenagers and have since had the “Midas Touch” with businesses such as discount retail\, health care and electric cars.  They build their own planes\, they’ve flown them together and they’ve broken the transcontinental world speed record for internal combustion engines. \nBoth Mike and Mark have ADHD to thank in part for their many successes.  It’s always kept them thinking outside the “box”\, and to this day\, they continue with their outside-the-box innovations in everything they do – not only in their shared businesses\, but in their airplane construction endeavors.  Mike’s current main aviation project (who knows how many he has in the back of his mind!) is an amazing Carbon Cub made out of spare parts.  Actually “amazing” doesn’t even begin to describe the level of expertise and attention to detail poured into this one of a kind build.  Google Mike Patey and be astounded by the ways he turns the ordinary into extraordinary.   View some of his YouTube videos and prepare yourselves to ask questions while we have this special time with Mike this Saturday. \n\nThis will be a combined in-person (limited seating – reservation required) and virtual meeting only. \nIn-Person Reservations – n/a. \nJoin via Zoom – This Zoom Link will take you to the meeting on Saturday morning starting about 10:00am.\nMeeting ID: 848 5301 3269\nPasscode:  176627 \nPlease continue to watch this Event Notice for any updates or last minute changes. \nIf visiting from outside Pecan Plantation\, please let the gate attendant know you are going to the regular EAA Chapter 983 monthly meeting.
