Program – Tim Kurcz: Using and Securing Threaded Fasteners (11:00 – 12:00)
A new Pecan resident, Tim Kurcz has been a member of the powertrain engineering community for over 50 years, including 26 with Loctite Corporation, and 9 with Jessup Engineering. Tim specialized in engine design and process development for adhesives, sealants, coatings, electro- and electro-less plating, and salt bath nitro-carburizing. He was awarded US Patent #6292973 for a “Device for Providing Surface Preparation,” and authored numerous technical papers for the automotive, marine, and aerospace industries. He’s a 2000-hour IFR private pilot with high performance, complex, and taildragger endorsements, and 300+ acro hours. An accomplished boat racer, Tim won two American Power Boat Association national titles, and now modifies outboard engines for racing as a retirement business. Expect a lively Q&A session!
