It was hot, and windy, and just about perfect. We flew over 50 Young Eagles, and a large number of others as well. For more photos, take a look at our Gallery pages.
Thanks to all the volunteers who stepped up and made today such a success. We couldn’t have done it without the generous support from Granbury High School ROTC, Civil Air Patrol cadets, and many, many others from our community who stepped in to help out. Silent auction, food prep, food service, Young Eagles, aircraft marshaling, Eagle Flights, parking shuttles, …, the list goes on. Thank you everyone for all your help. And a big, big thanks to Dave Smith for putting this all together.
The Granbury Car Club was there in force with restorations and hot rods that are as good as it gets anywhere, bar none. Here are a few photos to start things off. I saw Wendy Moore, Karen Gomez, and others capturing the day, and I hope to post some of their photos to the gallery very soon. But right now, we’re off to the Pot Luck Hangar Party. See your there!
