DESCRIPTION:Breakfast served 8:30am – 9:30am\nMeeting starts at 10:00am \nProgram – Tim Kurcz: Using and Securing Threaded Fasteners (11:00 – 12:00) \n \nA new Pecan resident\, Tim Kurcz has been a member of the powertrain engineering community for over 50 years\, including 26 with Loctite Corporation\, and 9 with Jessup Engineering.  Tim specialized in engine design and process development for adhesives\, sealants\, coatings\, electro- and electro-less plating\, and salt bath nitro-carburizing.  He was awarded US Patent #6292973 for a “Device for Providing Surface Preparation\,” and authored numerous technical papers for the automotive\, marine\, and aerospace industries.  He’s a 2000-hour IFR private pilot with high performance\, complex\, and taildragger endorsements\, and 300+ acro hours.  An accomplished boat racer\, Tim won two American Power Boat Association national titles\, and now modifies outboard engines for racing as a retirement business.
