SUMMARY:EAA983 Monthly MEETING - Colonel Rich Graham
DESCRIPTION:Colonel (ret) Rich Graham and the SR-71 Blackbird. \nColonel Graham flew the world’s fastest and highest flying aircraft\, the SR-71 Blackbird\, for 7 years during his 25 year Air Force career. He also flew 210 combat missions in Vietnam as an F-4 fighter pilot and Wild Weasel pilot. His many military awards include 3 Legion of Merit medals\, 4 Distinguished Flying Cross medals and 19 Air Medals.  Rich speaks with authority on the SR-71 having been the Squadron Commander and 9th Wing Commander of this Top Secret reconnaissance program. Rich is a respected authority with an incredible depth of knowledge on the Blackbird. His truly amazing stories enthrall aviators and non-aviators alike. \nIf visiting from outside Pecan Plantation\, please let the gate attendant know you are going to the regular EAA Chapter 983 monthly meeting. If possible\, please call a Chapter Officer in advance\, and they will be glad to help guide you in. \n*** BE SURE TO CHECK BACK FOR POSSIBLE CHANGE OF VENUE ***

SUMMARY:Pancake Breakfast at AirVenture
DESCRIPTION:EAA National Chapter Support is planning to hold an EAA sponsored Pancake Breakfast for campers every morning.  Our Chapter has signed up to Wednesday morning! \nEAA will provide two griddles for cooking\, Nesco warmers\, coffee pots and propane at no cost to the Chapters.  All of the supplies\, paper/plastic goods\, premixed Pancake mix\, sausage\, OJ and coffee will be arranged for by EAA and paid for from the proceeds. \nThe Chapters will provide the labor and receive the profits following the feed. They expect to feed 400 or more campers each morning\, which will net the working Chapter between $1 and $2K. It’s never been done before and we’re just guessing about the numbers\, so it may be less or a lot more. After the feed is all settled up\, either cash or check would be given to the working Chapter. \nTo be successful\, we would need at least 10 -12 volunteers (more would be better) to work from 0600 to 1100 and then clean up time. \nCONTACT DAVE SMITH to join in the fun!
