Another Successful Fly-In

By all accounts, the Fly-In this year was a huge success.  Early morning low weather kept away a number of visiting airplanes, but that didn’t slow down the foot-traffic and overall fun.

A big note of thanks to everyone who stepped up to cook and serve food, shuttle visitors to and from parking, set-up/tear-down/clean-up, collect money, manage the auction and fly-mart, marshal airplanes, give airplane rides, coordinate Young Eagles flights, provide flight-simulator and other kids activities, and, and, and…  Obviously, there’s no way this event can happen without all the volunteers!  And special thanks to John McComas who stepped in at the last minute to put together a very successful auction/fly-mart, to our Air Boss – Bill Mercurio for standing in the sun all day and ensuring safe operations, to Konnie Sasser for pulling together the classic cars display which was a bit hit, and to Dick Keyt who spent the entire day and then some giving Eagle Flights in his Ryan for the over 16 generation.
